Let me choose the book
Let me snuggle next to you
Please just read to me

About the poem:
As a mom, I loved that cozy feeling of reading to my kids. The benefits for mom and kid are a mile long. Reading aloud is a simple gift of our time and love. Don’t get caught up in insisting that the kid read to you, even if it’s possible. Like listening to musicians play a piece of music, reading to kids gives them a rich source of what they are trying to learn.

Remember that the main thing we are always teaching is love, whether it is through reading, learning another language or any activity.

This photo was taken at Tattered Cover on Colfax in Denver, Colorado. This is an amazing store. I was lucky to have time to wander through the store. Even without kids, I especially liked hanging out in this part of the store!
